about

This bit of instrumental dance groove was inspired by a street festival I happened across while in Agra, India, about 12 years ago. It derives a bit from Weather Report’s “Black Market” (especially the fireworks samples) and is propped up by a modified samba beat (thanks, Joni), something that I thought fit perfectly despite the geographic incongruity.

The track makes background use of a Freesound sample by Genghis Attenborough called Temple Percussion.mp3, recorded in Kerala, India. This sample is used under license and with permission: (creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/3.0/legalcode ) All other instrument samples are played by myself.
